Will a Tire Base sale create a QuickBooks invoice?

This process works in apps: TB Books, TB POS
This article will teach you that a Tire Base sale creates the invoice in TB Books, how a shop can still send that data to QuickBooks, and why most shops use TB Books and connect the bank instead.
A completed sale in TB POS or an invoice saved in TB Books creates the customer invoice in TB Books. It does not automatically create a QuickBooks invoice. Shops that still keep QuickBooks can send invoices there with the Platform API, or export a CSV and upload that file in QuickBooks. Most shops leave QuickBooks. TB Books is the accounting system for the shop: the invoice, the bill, the ledger, and the bank connection all live with the sale.
Steps
- Complete the sale in TB POS, or save the invoice in TB Books. The customer invoice is created in TB Books. Inventory, cost, and the journal post with that invoice.
- If the shop still uses QuickBooks and a developer will connect the two systems, create an API key in Settings → Organization Settings → API Keys and follow https://docs.tirebase.io. The developer reads Tire Base invoices and creates them in QuickBooks.
- If the shop will upload by hand, open the account in TB Books, open Transaction Detail, and click Export CSV. Upload that file in QuickBooks.
- For day-to-day accounting, stay in TB Books. Open Banking. For a new bank, click Add Account, then Connect Automatically, and finish the bank login. For an account that already has history, click Connect Bank on that account (not Add Account).
- Match the bank lines to the invoices and payments already in Books. The sale and the bank deposit stay on the same books.
Conclusion & best practices
Use QuickBooks only when the accountant still requires it. The sale already has an invoice in TB Books, and Banking is where the shop connects the checking account or card. Related: How to connect a live bank feed to an existing offline account?.
