How to show a delivery delay or ETA on the B2B portal?

This process works in apps: TB Sync, TB Books
This article will teach you how to give each B2B stock line its own delivery delay by assigning a shipping method with a cutoff and ETD to that distribution center.
There is no field named Delivery Delay. When a dealer asks to mix Canada and USA suppliers on one portal and show a different wait for each, the wait is the ETD on a shipping method, and each distribution center picks which method to show.
Create the methods under Settings → Shipping Methods (Organization Settings in Books, Sync, or any Tire Base app). Add Method. The options are: Name; Assigned Vendor (optional — leave this blank so the method is not limited to one connection, and do not put a supplier name in the Name, because dealers can see that name on the portal header); Applies To Order Types (Local, Factory Direct, Pallet, Dropship — leave all unchecked to allow every order type); Customer Pickup / Will Call (pickup has no delivery ETD); Cutoff & Delivery ETD, either Daily or Monthly. Daily has Cutoff Time, ETD Hours After Cutoff, ETD Days After Cutoff (0 means same day; hours win when both are set), Window From, Window To, and Operating Days. Monthly has Cutoff Day (or Last day of month) and ETD (days from cutoff). Amount / Fee is the shipping charge. Save with Add Method or Save Changes.
Then open the B2B portal in Sync → Sales Channels → B2B Settings. Books → Settings → B2B Portal is a shortcut into that same Sync screen. Under Distribution centers, each center has a Shipping method dropdown. Pick the method whose ETD is that line’s delay, or leave No ETA label. A local warehouse can use a 1- or 2-day method. A slower source can use a method with more ETD days. Add distribution center when you need another line. Check Inventory to pull for the warehouses and vendor connections already enabled on Vendors & Brands. Name the center with words dealers should read (Local, Canada, USA). Do not put a distributor’s name on the center.
On the B2B search card, the stock line reads the center name, the quantity, then that ETD (for example Local: 24 · Sep 30). The header can also show a shipping-method banner (method name, time left until cutoff, and ETD). That banner uses methods checked under Supported Shipping Methods on the vendor. The date on the stock line itself comes from the distribution center’s Shipping method. The Factory Direct checkout note “ETA: 60-90 days” is a fixed terms line. It is not this setting, and it does not change when you edit shipping methods.
Steps
- Open Settings → Shipping Methods and click Add Method. Name it for the service (Ground, 2-day, Overseas), not for a distributor.
- Leave Assigned Vendor blank unless this method should apply only to items from one connection. Under Applies To Order Types, leave every box unchecked to allow Local, Factory Direct, Pallet, and Dropship, or check only the types that should offer it.
- Under Cutoff & Delivery ETD, choose Daily or Monthly. For a multi-day delay, set ETD Days After Cutoff (Daily) or ETD (days from cutoff) (Monthly). For a same-day route, set ETD Hours After Cutoff or a Window From / Window To with ETD days at 0. Set Cutoff Time or Cutoff Day, and Operating Days on a daily method. Do not turn on Customer Pickup / Will Call if you need a delivery date — pickup has no delivery ETD.
- Set Amount / Fee if this method charges for shipping, then click Add Method. Repeat for a second method when one source should show a longer wait than another.
- Open Sync → Sales Channels, select the B2B portal, and open B2B Settings. (Books → Settings → B2B Portal is a shortcut into this same Sync screen.)
- Under Distribution centers, keep or add a center for each delay you want dealers to see. Check Inventory to pull. Use a dealer-safe name. Do not put a supplier name on the center.
- On each center, set Shipping method to the method whose ETD is that line’s delivery delay. Choose No ETA label to show quantity with no date. Mark one Portal default, then click Save B2B Settings.
- Open the B2B portal and search a product that is in stock on those centers. Confirm each line shows its own ETD. A line left on No ETA label shows the quantity only.
Conclusion & best practices
Canada and USA suppliers can already sit on the same portal as separate Sync vendor connections. The delivery delay is per distribution center, not one number for the whole site, and not the display cap. Related: How to configure B2B Settings and show inventory as 100+?.
