How to configure B2B Settings and show inventory as 100+?

TB Sync · sales-channels · Last updated September 22, 2026 · Version 1

This process works in apps: TB Sync, TB Books

This article will teach you how every control on the B2B Settings tab works, including order types, catalogs, the header, distribution centers, a per-center inventory display cap such as 100+, backorders, and search layout.

B2B Settings is a tab on a B2B sales channel in Sync. Open Sales Channels, select the portal, then B2B Settings. Books → Settings → B2B Portal is a shortcut into this same Sync screen. Click Save B2B Settings when you finish. Which warehouses and vendor connections feed the portal is chosen on the Vendors & Brands tab, not here. Theme (logo, colors, banners) and API keys are their own tabs.

The control that shows inventory as 100+ is Display cap, under Distribution centers. Each center is a stock line dealers see (Local and Alternative by default). Type 100 in Display cap on a center and any quantity above 100 on that line shows as 100+. A quantity of 100 or less still shows the real number (100 on hand with a cap of 100 shows 100). Leave Display cap blank to show the exact quantity. The helper under the field says “Dealers see 50+ when stock is above this number” — 50 is only an example. The plus sign uses the number you typed, and you can set a different cap on each center. A cap of 1000 shows as 1,000+.

Display cap only changes the number on the B2B site. It does not change warehouse on-hand in Books or WMS, and it does not stop an order at that number. When Allow backorders is off, checkout still uses the real available quantity. Factory Direct does not limit the order to on-hand stock.

Name centers with words dealers should read (Local, West, Alternative). The name is visible on the B2B site, so do not put a supplier’s name on a center. Check Inventory to pull for the warehouses and vendor connections you already enabled on Vendors & Brands. An ATD connection can be split into All, Local, Local+, and Nationwide. Mark one Portal default. Pick a Shipping method when that line should show an ETA, or leave No ETA label. Add distribution center adds another line. A yellow note lists inventory that is not assigned — that stock will not appear as a line.

On a Local order, dealers see one line per center that has stock, with their home center highlighted first (up to five lines). On Factory Direct, Pallet, or Dropship, search shows one In Stock total, and that total uses the portal-default center’s display cap.

Home distribution center is not on this tab. On the Customers tab, expand a dealer and choose which center is highlighted first for them. Leave Portal default to use the center you marked Portal default.

The rest of the tab: Order Types are Local, Factory Direct, Pallet, and Dropship. Each one that is on has Min Qty and Price Level (or Customer Default). Factory Direct starts with a minimum of 100 — that is the smallest order, not the display cap. If none are checked, the portal uses Local. Pickup is a shipping method under Local. Dropship can collect the dealer’s customer address and charge shipping; that is not the Sync Dropship vendor portal. Product Types turns Tires, Wheels, or Parts off in the header, search, and Search by Vehicle. Shop By Category chooses the home-page tiles. Header Menu renames the buttons under the search bar and picks a destination: Search widget (vehicle / size / brand), Browse all inventory, Empty search page, or a Portal page (Home, Search, Factory Direct, Dealer Programs, Order History, Invoices, Account). Stock & Backorders → Allow backorders lets dealers order more than current stock (for example, 2 in stock · 7 backordered). Search Defaults sets the opening availability filter (In Stock, All Items, or Out of Stock), Cards or Table per catalog (Wheels starts on Table), table columns and price-level colors, Product Card Title, and Product Card Specs.

Steps

Conclusion & best practices

Display cap is per distribution center and only changes what dealers read on the B2B site. Blank means the exact quantity. Do not confuse it with Factory Direct Min Qty, which is the smallest order.
