0:00 Welcome! In this tutorial, you'll learn how to manually create products in TireBase. This guide covers the complete one-by-one product creation process for tires, wheels, and parts.
0:14 Open the Products & Services module and click Add to begin creating a new product.
0:36 Select the product type—Tire, Wheel, or Part. The required fields will automatically adjust based on the selected product type.
1:06 Enter the manufacturer product number. If you use a valid manufacturer product number that exists in the TireBase catalog, the system will automatically populate most of the product information.
1:57 If the brand, style, or category doesn't exist, you can create them directly by clicking the + button next to each field.
2:44 Create a new style by entering its name and linking it to the appropriate brand.
3:03 Enter the product's standard cost. This field is required for manually created products. You can also specify the Federal Excise Tax (FET), if applicable.
3:41 Enter the tire dimensions including width, aspect ratio, and rim diameter. TireBase automatically formats the tire size based on the values provided.
4:26 Set the initial inventory quantity. This becomes the starting stock level for the product and will be adjusted automatically as purchase orders and work orders are processed.
4:49 Expand Advanced Options if you want to enter additional specifications such as mileage warranty, load index, speed rating, and other product details.
5:24 Save the product. Once created, it becomes searchable within the Products module.
5:36 Open the stock details or the Unit Tracking Report to verify the initial inventory movement created when the product was added.
6:04 Review the product information, including brand, style, manufacturer product number, size, inventory, and cost values.
6:30 As purchase orders are received, TireBase automatically updates the last cost and average cost while preserving the standard cost.
6:48 Use Edit Fixed Prices to define fixed selling prices for each customer price level from a single screen.
7:36 The same workflow applies when creating wheels or parts, although fewer required fields are needed compared to tires.
7:59 For bulk product creation, use the data migration tools covered in a separate tutorial.
