00:00 Hello team, welcome back to another TireBase tutorial. In this video, you'll learn the different methods available for importing and adding inventory into TireBase.
00:19 Inventory can be imported in bulk through an Excel file or added manually using several tools within the system.
00:28 The first method is Data Migration. Go to Settings → Data Migration.
00:37 Select the appropriate inventory type: Tires, Wheels, or Parts. The import process works similarly for each product category.
01:10 Open the desired inventory section, click Export, and download the Excel template.
01:30 Columns marked with an asterisk are required. Make sure to enter the manufacturer product number, brand, and correctly formatted size.
02:46 Optional fields can also be completed, including initial stock and product cost.
03:39 Save the completed spreadsheet, return to Data Migration, select the file, and upload it.
04:14 Review the import disclaimers carefully, accept the data import terms, and continue.
04:41 The import log displays the employee who uploaded the file, processing dates, total rows, and any skipped records.
05:17 If rows were skipped, download the results file to identify and correct the errors.
05:47 Data Migration replaces the product's existing stock quantity. It does not add the imported quantity to the current inventory.
06:20 The second method is to manually create a product from the Products & Services module.
06:28 Click Add, select whether the product is a tire, wheel, or part, and enter the required information.
06:54 Enter the manufacturer product number, brand, style, category, standard cost, FET, and other relevant product details.
07:35 For tires, enter the width, aspect ratio, and rim diameter. You can also customize the displayed size format.
08:01 Enter the initial stock and save the product to add it to your inventory.
08:11 The third method is the Update Stock option, which adjusts inventory for an existing product.
08:25 Search for the product, including zero-stock items when necessary, and copy its manufacturer product number.
08:59 Open Update Stock, select the product, and enter a positive quantity to add units.
09:16 Select the appropriate inventory bin and enter a movement reason before completing the adjustment.
09:55 To remove inventory, repeat the process using a negative quantity.
10:43 The Quick Unit Tracking Report records each adjustment, including quantities, balances, and movement reasons.
11:12 The fourth method is to receive inventory through a Purchase Order.
11:19 Open the Purchases section, create a new purchase order, and select a vendor.
11:30 Search for an existing product or use Quick Lookup to find products in the TireBase catalog.
11:55 Enter the quantity and cost, then add the product to the purchase order.
12:14 You can also include the vendor invoice number, freight cost, and estimated arrival date.
12:32 Save or receive the purchase order. Once received, the purchased quantities are automatically added to inventory.
12:48 The Unit Tracking Report displays the purchase transaction and the resulting inventory movement.
13:08 These are the main methods for adding or importing inventory into TireBase: Data Migration, manual product creation, Update Stock, and Purchase Orders.
13:18 Let us know if you have any questions regarding these procedures. Have a great day.
