0:00 – Hi, in this video, I'm going to be showing you how to change your price level from a customer, or specifically a tax level.
0:08 – For example, if you have a customer that is being charged sales tax but you don't want that to happen, it's most likely because your customer has a tax level assigned to it.
0:22 – To do this, go into your customer, click Edit, and open the customer edit page.
0:30 – Locate the Default Tax Rate field and make sure it is set to Tax Exempt.
0:40 – Once configured, all future transactions for this customer will automatically use that default tax rate. If another tax rate is selected, that rate will be applied instead.
0:51 – If you want a customer, such as a wholesale account, to be tax exempt, update the customer's default tax rate to Tax Exempt.
1:00 – Depending on your TireBase configuration, you can also require a Tax ID whenever the Tax Exempt tax rate is selected.
1:12 – After updating the customer, create a new order to verify the tax settings.
1:25 – Even if the product is marked as taxable, sales tax will be $0.00 because the customer is configured as tax exempt.
1:38 – You can always manually change the tax rate on an individual order, but by default, TireBase will use the tax rate assigned to the customer's profile.
1:50 – If you have any questions or need assistance, you can contact the support team by opening a support ticket.
2:01 – Thank you for watching, and enjoy your day.
